How the ViaBuff Duos Work!

When it comes to exfoliating your skin, there’s simply not a one-size-fits-all solution. Like our wonderfully unique personalities and appearance, each and every one of us has one-of-a-kind skin. And while the benefits of regular exfoliation are numerous, using the wrong exfoliator for your individual skin type and condition can lead to unwanted irritation.

That’s precisely why ViaBuff buffs come in four different levels to accommodate all skin types. But for those of us with combination skin, such as dry and oily, or who have fluctuating skin conditions on various parts of the body, choosing just one level of exfoliation can be a tricky business. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the ViaBuff Duo!

Who Says You Have to Choose One or the Other?

The ViaBuff Duo is exactly what its name suggests. It’s a two-in-one body exfoliator, designed so that you can custom-tailor your ViaBuff experience to fit your unique skin. Each ViaBuff Duo is split right down the middle, with one level of exfoliation on one side, and another level on the other.

That way, when your skin is on the oily, more sensitive side, you can use a gentler level than you might if it’s especially dry or flaky. It’s also great for those with patches of severely dry skin on their elbows or knees, for instance. While you may want to exfoliate these areas a little more thoroughly, you don’t necessarily want to use the clinical level on your more sensitive areas. When you’re choosing the two components of your ViaBuff Duo, pick the two levels of exfoliation that best fit your needs, and prepare for smoother, healthy-looking skin in no time!

Level 1: Extra Gentle

level-1

This purple buff is perfect for your sensitive side. Whether you’re dealing with acne breakouts, oily skin, or psoriasis, sometimes, exfoliating too harshly can worsen your skin condition (The American Academy of Dermatology). Using a gentle product, though, can be one of the most effective ways of reducing your symptoms and clearing your skin, all while minimizing irritation.

Level 2: Mild

Choose our mild green buff for normal skin or even for use on patches of eczema. This level will offer slightly more exfoliation than the purple buff, but won’t be so harsh that it’ll keep your skin’s self-repair process from doing its job. Feel free to buff with this side of your Duo as frequently as once or twice per day, depending on your skin’s level of sensitivity.

Level 3: Moderate

If dry skin, ingrown hairs, or keratosis pilaris bumps are your skincare woes, the moderate pink buff might be right for you. This level is also great for prepping your skin for waxing or even shaving. You really want to first remove as much dead skin and other buildup as possible to get the best results from your hair removal method. If too much flaky skin and debris is resting on top of your skin while you wax or shave, you could end up missing a good portion of your hair with either wax strips or your razor.

Level 4: Clinical

Team up one of the above levels with our white clinical exfoliator for those stubborn, severely dry patches of skin. Many people find that this level is perfect for rough, dry elbows and knees, or patches of dry skin that tend to show up due to either very hot or cold weather.
